In 1953 a temporary church adjoining Millbrook rectory on the west side of Regent’s Park Road was opened with the intention that the building should function as a church only until a larger permanent church be built alongside it. The new church, however, was never built. The church closed in 2001 and was demolished in c.2007 and flats built on the site.
